Shule the King! June 23, 2015

Welp I had such a great and long  email written up and sent it and it
didn't send and it is gone. I don't do technology. So here is my short
email.

 This week was great!
K, Au, and D are all doing great!
It rained a lot this week! I loved it!
We played Ultimate Frisbee last Pday it was so fun! We are playing
again that is why I have to run!

 In my studies this week I read Ether 7 which talks about Shule the
King who stands up for his beliefs regardless of what everyone else
thinks! You should all read it! I love King Shule!

The Secret to Happiness June 16, 2015

Hello Everyone!  I hope y'all are having a good week!  This week was amazing (as usual!).  Here are some highlights!

We went on Exchanges!  I went up to Londonderry, which is the northern part of Edmonton, with Sis. K!  We had so much fun!  We have already been on exchanges together so we didn't have to go through the get to know you questions, we just chatted and worked hard!  It was great!  I love training but it was nice to not have to do an extra hour of studies for a d ay!  I don't know why but getting out of the house at 11 is way worse than 10.  Haha!

We were able to meet with A one more time before she went to Quebec for 3 weeks.  Which was good!  She is awesome!  She is reading Jesus the Christ and the Book of Mormon just because she wants to.  Amazing!  She left on Saturday and we have texted her everyday since!  And today we are calling her and having a lesson.  We will see how that goes.  Too bad she doesn't have Skype or FaceTime because we can do that now.  And that would be way better than phoning her.  Oh well.  At least we get to talk to her!

There are so many more things that happened but I cannot think of them.  My mind is blank.  I am happy, I love being a missionary, and I love my Savior and His work!

This week during studies I was reading in 4 Nephi and I love what it says about the people when they were following Christ...
16-And there were no envyings, nor strifes, nor tumults, nor whoredoms, nor lyings, nor murders, nor any manner of lasciviousness; and surely there could not be a happier people among all the people who had been created by the hand of God.

17-There wer no robbers, nor murderers, neither were there Lamanites, nor any manner of -ites; but they were in one, the children of Christ, and heirs to the kingdom of God.

18-And how blessed were they!  For the Lord did bless them in all their doing; yea, even they were blessed and prospered until an hundred and ten years ha; and the first generation from Christ had passed away, and there was no contention in all the land.

They were soooooo happy!  As I have been following the things the Lord has asked me to do I have seen my happiness increase so much!  If you want to be happy follow the Savior!  There is a talk about happiness that I want you to  read this week.  It is called Full conversion Brings Happiness by Richard G. Scott.

Baptism Blessings June 9, 2015

This week was amazing!! We had so many miracles!!!

 

Canada has the most beautiful skies!

#1 A was baptized!! It was such an amazing day! On Friday her parents told her that they wanted her to wait until they knew more about the church. So she had a really hard day Friday but she realized that she knew that the church was true and she knew she needed to be baptized. So she was baptized! She is amazing! She is going home to Quebec for 3 weeks on Saturday. Hopefully nothing happens to shake her testimony!

#2 K and Am showed up to church! Neither of them texted us back when we asked if they were coming. But they had a great time and were able to see A's confirmation!

#3 D finally got back to us!! She has been ignoring everyone in the ward the past couple of weeks and she finally texted us back and came to church!! Hooray! Hopefully she is here to stay again!

#4 We got iPads! It is so weird but amazing! It is so great to show videos to investigators and less actives! We are still getting used to them so I will let you know next week how they are! :)

Beautiful Canada! June 2, 2015

This week was so great! All of our investigators are doing amazing!!!

 

 

K came to church, FHE, and we met with her! She also read from the Book of Mormon everyday! She is doing amazing! We are planning to meet with her later this week! She is progressing a lot!

 

 

A loves meeting with us! At first she was meeting with missionaries for her boyfriend but she told us that she is doing it for herself now!! She continues to read the Book of Mormon and listen to Conference talks everyday! She wasn't able to come to church but she said she will come next week!

 

 

And Au! She is getting baptized this week! She is so excited! We are going to finish teaching the lessons tomorrow and then continue to have daily contact with her! She just moved in with some members of our ward and she loves it! She is so happy! It has been amazing to see the change in her as she comes closer to the Savior!

 

 

And K texted and called us this week! She met with the Elders in her home town and went to church there! She loves the gospel! She called to ask for some tips because she has never met with Elders before! She is the cutest! We keep in contact on Facebook!

 

 

Well, I know a lot of things happened this week but I can't think of anything. It is the start of a new transfer. I cannot believe that I have been with Sister R for 6 weeks. Time is going by way too fast! It needs to slow down. 

 

 

 

As I read the Book of Mormon I am marking every reference to Christ. And it has been amazing to see that the Book of Mormon truly is Another Testament of Jesus Christ! I am in 3 Nephi now and I love how he teaches the people in the America's. I have such a strong testimony of Jesus Christ! He is my Savior and my best friend! I am so grateful for Him! And I am so so so grateful that I have the opportunity to represent Him and gather His sheep!
